Guglielmo Marconi the pioneer of radio communication (1871 – 1935) had an Irish mother, Annie
Jameson of the famous Jameson Whiskey distillers’family. His first wife Beatrice O’Brien was the
daughter of Lord Inchiquin of Dromoland Castle, County Clare.
